Ajay Manthripragada founded his studio in 2014 after working in various architecture firms in Paris, New York and San Francisco. Based in Los Angeles, the office’s work has been exhibited at MoMA, the Graduate School of Design at Harvard and the School of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2018, Manthripragada was nominated for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize as an emerging practitioner.

Manthripragada is Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design and recipient of the 2023-24 Lily Auchincloss Rome Prize in Architecture from the American Academy in Rome. He previously held academic positions at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo as Assistant Professor and at Rice as Wortham Fellow and Smith Visiting Critic. He has also taught at California College of the Arts, UC Berkeley and Rhode Island School of Design. Manthripragada holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Master of Architecture from Princeton.
