Ajay Manthripragada founded an independent office in 2015. In 2018, he was nominated for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize for best building in the Americas by an emerging practitioner. He holds degrees from UC Berkeley and Princeton and has taught at the Rice University School of Architecture and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, among others.
Manthripragada was awarded the full-term Lily Auchincloss Rome Prize in Architecture from the American Academy in Rome, where he is in residence from summer 2023 to summer 2024.
