Ajay Manthripragada is the Harry K. and Albert K. Smith Visiting Critic at the Rice University School of Architecture, where he was a 2017-2019 Wortham Fellow. He has also taught at California College of the Arts, UC Berkeley and Rhode Island School of Design.

Manthripragada worked in various architecture firms in Paris, New York and San Francisco before founding his own studio in 2014. The office’s work has been exhibited at MoMA, the Graduate School of Design at Harvard and the School of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Manthripragada holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. In 2018, he was nominated for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize as an emerging practitioner.
